Guide for getting content in B Nieuws
Of course you want to have your event/new studio/PhD conferral/research published in B Nieuws. The magazine is widely read among students, it gets delivered in all the teachers’ mailboxes, and apparently the dean also leafs through it now and then. But how can you get the editors to acknowledge the importance of your subject?
A lot of people think that it suffices to send in a ready-written article or studio schema a couple of days before the deadline. That is not how it works. Therefore some advice on getting content in B Nieuws.
- Don’t submit something just a couple of days before deadline. Normally we decide on the content of the next edition a week after the publication of the last edition. So if you want something to be published, be sure to contact us after the publication of last edition.
- If using email, try to make it personal. We don’t read all the press releases, because they come with a lot of crap.
- We are not an advertising paper. If your studio changed the amount of conferred ECTS from 7 to 7,5 don’t bother to contact us, because this kind of information is better to be published on your own website.
- Don’t submit self-written articles. Normally we write all the content ourselves.
- We do more than just news. So if you e.g. think a guide for organizing expositions in BK City would be interesting, have an annoyance that you want to expose, or anything else please let us know.
- If you do want to write something yourselves, there is space on our opinion page ‘Forum’.
- We are always really interested in outstanding graduation projects. It could be your first publication!
- Smile to the editors when you meet them in the hallway. It helps.
We are looking forward to your contributions!

Hi, B Nieuws team, you might wanna spell check the articles, because it’s the 3rd time I have seen ‘OFF course’ on this site….
Also, ‘your studio’ instead of ‘your’re studio’.
Other than that, good stuff.
Yes,
